Cool Adventure Time Drawing in Color
Hey everyone! While writing the Dracula post last week, I forgot to make a mail service showing the remainder of the drawings I did for InkTober.
I cheated a petty with some of these final drawings. InkTober is supposed to employ, well, ink. And while I did utilize ink for all of these drawings, I started using colored pencils for some of the terminal few (I got frustrated doing so many drawings in simply black and white).
Part of the reason I wasn't using color in the first place is that I don't really have any colored markers. I have a few in varying shades of gray, and a few colored Republic of india Ink markers, just I was never happy with how they came out. I would have bought some, but skillful markers are pretty expensive and now wasn't exactly the best time to drop money on something I probably won't use too often. 😛
However, ane of my friends lent me a few copic markers to try out, and I used those for my final ii drawings. I was thrilled with how they turned out! They were very thick, consistent, and left no streaks. I really want to invest in them some time!
InkTober was very fun. I try using my inventiveness to brand different things every bit ofttimes as I can, but this was the kickoff time since college that I actually worked on something every single day for a month directly. Even when I didn't feel similar it (and trust me, in that location were a lot of days I wasn't feeling it), I powered through. There was something really great near starting and finishing something every solar day, too. I've got a bad habit of spending too long on sure things, trying to make them perfect, or even giving upwards on them if I convince myself there'due south no way I could make them expect good in the commencement identify. Forcing myself to outset and terminate something within one twenty-four hours made me more comfortable with myself. Even if something didn't turn out well (and I definitely think some of these didn't turn out well), I had plenty more that I was proud of. It became easier for me to understand that if something I was working on wasn't working out, that's all right. Considering in that location will always be something next time.
Cheers for reading, and I hope everyone'due south having a nifty week! 🙂
I've gotten some more art done during the past few weeks! I've got to say, it's been very relaxing when I tin can sit downwards and concentrate on drawing once again. I've got a few more than pages worth of drawings done and I figured why non show them off?
I've been trying to doodle some more images from my Adventure Time: The Fine art of Ooo art volume. This first page has Finn, Jake, and Marceline freaking out most something. Finn'due south okay; he was a chip of a warm-up. Jake was okay, but I fooled effectually too much with my pens and markers and concluded upwards making the outlines way besides thick. Marceline came out the best, in my opinion. Between the weird confront she'south making and her hair going all over the place (which was very fun to fill in), I retrieve it's the most interesting doodle of the three.
I fabricated a 2d page worth of Run a risk Time characters, likewise. I tried drawing Bubblegum getting striking in the confront with a slice of pizza, which turned out pretty eh. I drew Flame Princess (I retrieve from the scene when she tried to hug Finn for the first time and realized it wasn't going to piece of work), which is a little better. The crackles of fire coming off her pilus and apparel help brand it look more circuitous.
And then I tried a cool-looking Fiona. It was the most detailed, and I call up it came out really nice. But the picture show I was drawing from was shaded with really cool colors, so I thought why non effort shading it myself? And not to toot my own horn, simply I recollect it looks much meliorate afterward shading it. I'one thousand really proud of how this one came out. 🙂
Afterwards several months of hearing how amazing Steven Universe is, I finally decided to sit and give it some attending. I would have done it sooner, but Netflix once once more didn't offer something I wanted to lookout man and once again pushed me a little closer to trying out Hulu. Withal, later on looking through our cablevision'southward on demand features, I found a handful of episodes available to watch at my convenience. (Tin can you tell I don't really utilise the cable in our house very much? :b )
AND I Beloved IT.
I've been trying to grab information technology on Television when it's on, just it's easier for me to simply tape information technology and watch when I can. Anyway, I've wanted to try drawing something Steven Universe related e'er since. I wanted to discover a picture that had more shading opportunities, only I couldn't discover a good 1. And so instead I went with a picture of Amethyst from the episode when she and Steven ran away, since that's one of the episodes that'due south been stuck in my caput for a while.
I think it came out okay. I tried shading, merely it was more like coloring it in black and white. I ended up making the motion-picture show have upwardly the whole folio, which makes the pencil coloring look more grainy. But I still think it's looks expert. Not as skillful as my Fiona drawing, but notwithstanding good.
Anyway, I hope everyone'south having a good week so far! Thanks for reading! 🙂
